GasFlo Products, Inc. has acquired Air Pro
Vacuum Products, Inc., a manufacturer of durable vacuum pump
components such as shafts, rotors, plates, stators and sleeves. Air
Pro’s staff has over 20-years of experience in machining these
components to service Alcatel, Edwards, Leybold, Stokes and Welch
pumps. Their expert craftsmanship produces high quality products that
have been distributed to vacuum pump parts suppliers and select vacuum
pump rebuilders for many years. |

Ken Whitmore remarks, “The components
we’ve manufactured for years perfectly complement the new line of
consumable parts like vanes, O-rings, gaskets and shaft seals supplied
by GasFlo’s Vacuum Division.” The merger of these companies
capabilities results in a complete offering of major pump components
and repair kits for dry pumps, scroll pumps and rotary vane pumps.
GasFlo repair kits service pumps made by Alcatel, Edwards, Leybold,
Welch and Varian. A growing number of items are available for Stokes
piston pumps. |

In addition to the manufacture of
new components, GasFlo will
expand Air Pro’s capability of remanufacturing customer supplied
components. Used rotors and shafts are treated with a flame sprayed
stainless steel/nickel composite to resurface areas worn by shaft seal
or bushing contact. Used plates are surface ground and fitted with new
bushings, which are then bored to proper specifications.
